The absolute best! I can't thank him enough! We worked with Ben, he was kind, empathetic, professional, very fast and does not price gouge. This was a true emergency as we had locked ourselves out of our house with our baby asleep inside. I was in a complete panic. I called other locksmiths, only to get rude dispatchers, telling me we had to pay hundreds extra and wait over 25 minutes to hopefully be connected with someone. I was willing to pay anything to not have to wait. We were one more dispatcher interaction (hold/please wait) away from calling the fire department to break down our door. I'm so glad I came across and called Ben. He answered his own phone, no dispatcher! He not only calmed me down but left his warm dinner to come help us. I was expecting to be charged an arm and a leg because other locksmiths charge extra for an emergency. I was willing to pay anything to get to my baby fast. Ben didn't charge us a lot at all, I'm still flabbergasted by the kindness and empathy. We will recommend him to everyone we know!

I called Ben after seeing his reviews on Yelp. I needed to change my front door lock after a year-long complete remodel of my home. He was very responsive and I was even able to get a rapid quote by sending him photos of the front and back of the current lock and door handle. After agreeing to have him do the work I had to reschedule due to the chaos of multiple workers and contractors coming and going - Ben was calm, understanding and courteous. When he came and started the work he shared several observations with my wife and I that showed a deep knowledge of his craft and a care for us as customers. There were several aspects of the way the general contractor installed the locks on two exterior doors that were concerning. Ben communicated with us in a way that wasn't pushy or an attempt to "upsell". He clearly described the problems he saw and let us absorb the information and ask follow-up questions. In addition to the original job he quoted, we had him address several issues with the way the deadbolts and strike plates were installed on a couple of exterior doors. He also made several new keys on the spot. He also provided a consultation on installing locking pulls on our interior pocket doors. Ben really know his stuff, explains things exceptionally well and will go as deep as you want to technically. He was thorough, efficient, respected our property and reasonably priced. Easy to talk to and has a great sense of humor. If you need a knowledgeable locksmith with superior attention to detail and great people skills, call Ben. You will not be disappointed.

For context:
I recently found myself in a tricky situation when my older neighbor, who was locked out of his home, needed help. To make matters more delicate, my neighbor was intoxicated, without his phone or wallet, and less than pleasant in his demeanor. Despite all this, Ben provided exceptional service that went above and beyond.
From the very beginning, Ben was professional, informative, and patient. He quickly responded to my Yelp service request, explained his quote in detail, and even took the time to share tips on what to look for when evaluating locksmiths. His transparency and honesty were incredibly reassuring.
Although Ben wasn't immediately available, he made every effort to see if he could fit us in between his appointments after understanding the urgency of my neighbor's situation. He was incredibly thoughtful in his planning, ensuring he respected the commitments to his other clients while still offering a reasonable timing window for us. This level of professionalism was well worth the wait!
After assisting my neighbor, Ben even followed up to check in on the situation--something you don't often see in service professionals.
Unfortunately, this isn't the first time my neighbor has locked himself out, but I'm grateful to know there's now someone reliable and trustworthy we can count on. If you're ever in need of a locksmith, Ben is your guy!

I have a long tale regarding a gate which has been broken for over 10 years. I am an owner of a condo in a small complex in Palo Alto. Our complex consists of 2 old homes (90 yrs old) converted to condos with newer condos (50 yrs old) forming a quadrangle. The developer attempted to save many artifacts from the original settings and we suspect that the front door and garden gates fall into that category. One gate, in particular is heavily used and usually broken 🤯 Our door and gates have been repaired many times over the years, unsuccessfully, until SUPER BEN, who came and saved our gate! Ben is professional, thoughtful, kind and thorough. The gate had been messed with so many times, he had to rip the lock, latch and strike mechanism out and carefully replace all to preserve the old look and feel. No other locksmith or gate expert had been able to settle this problem until Ben. Gotta love that!

My front door lock was jammed and I couldn't get the deadbolt to release. It was a very complex, high-end lock. I called Greenkeys and Ben reassured me that he had experience on quite a few of these locks. He gave me an estimate range. It was not an emergency since we could still get in the house from other doors. Ben arranged to come within a couple of days, was very communicative with arrival time and showed up on time. Ben unjammed the door pretty quickly and then spent half an hour aligning it correctly so it wouldn't jam again. Seriously, a gazillion 5-star Yelp and Google reviews don't lie. Ben is amazing, and I honestly think you'd be nuts to seek out another locksmith unless you absolutely had to. My experiences:
In 2015, I switched our front door over to a keyless lock and hired Ben to install it. That experience was a simple procedure, but I really liked him and his service a lot and thought I'd left a good review. Apparently not, because....
Cut to the other night, April 12, 2022: my 93yo mother in Palo Alto forgot the digital code to open the wall safe in her assisted living apartment, and couldn't get in. I called Ben and we conferenced in my mom, and she was able to give him the manufacturer and serial number of the safe. The company was so obscure even Ben hadn't even heard of them. He took time out of his busy schedule over the next 24 hours to do research, contact the company, and eventually come back to my mom with specific instructions of how to open the safe using a set of emergency keys that she found nearby.
This probably sounds pretty uneventful - digital code safe won't open, keys work as a backup. Keep in mind my mom is very elderly, has lost many of her once sharp executive function skills, AND is alone - dad is gone, and there are still Covid restrictions at her facility due to a few recent breakout cases. I was unable to pop over to help out. Ben did all of the troubleshooting over the phone w/mom or by text w/me, and had the knowledge to get the correct model number and instructions directly from the manufacturer in a very short period of time. Bonus - as I said, mom is very elderly, and has a tendency to be forgetful, and repetitive, and even ramble on and on over the phone, but he was super patient and kind with her despite it, which I very much appreciated (she did too).
On top of ALL that, he refused to charge us for the time and work he put into helping her get the safe open, which she did this morning. So NOW I'm leaving the 5-star review I should have left 7 years ago, except it would be a 10-star review if I could possibly do that. THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!!!
